Refunds. And how they work.
Last updated · 2026-06-02
Mercer is backed by a 30-day functional support policy: if a documented theme defect prevents Mercer from working as described, we’ll try to fix it or help you follow the applicable Shopify Theme Store refund process. This page explains exactly what that covers and how to request help.
What’s covered
Within 30 days of an eligible Shopify Theme Store purchase, if Mercer has a defect that prevents it from working as described in the documentation — and we can’t resolve it for you — we’ll help you request a refund through the applicable Shopify process.
How to request one
- Contact us through the support form within 30 days, describing the problem and your store URL.
- We’ll try to reproduce and fix it first — most issues are quick bugs, and a fix means you keep a working theme. We aim to reply within two business days.
- If we can’t make it work as documented, we’ll help you use the applicable Shopify refund process.
How refunds are handled
Purchases, payments, and refund mechanics are handled by Shopify through the Shopify Theme Store under Shopify’s policies (opens in a new window). Start by contacting support and we’ll guide you through it.
What’s not covered
- Change of mind once the theme works as documented.
- Custom development or design changes you or a third party made to the theme.
- Problems caused by third-party apps, custom code, or another theme.
- Requests made more than 30 days after an eligible purchase.
