Your license. And its limits.

This license governs your use of the Mercer Shopify theme, provided by ZBANG LTD. When Mercer is purchased through the Shopify Theme Store, it is licensed, not sold — you own your store and your content; we own the theme.

What you can do

• Install Mercer on the one Shopify store that the license was purchased for, and use it commercially there.
• Use it on that store’s development, staging, and duplicate themes while you build and test.
• Modify the theme — edit the code, settings, and templates freely for use on your licensed store.
• Receive supported updates for the version line you purchased, delivered through the Shopify Theme Store update flow.

What you can’t do

• Use one license on multiple unrelated stores. Each store needs its own license.
• Redistribute, resell, sublicense, or give away the theme or its source code — modified or not.
• List, submit, or sell the theme (or a derivative of it) on the Shopify Theme Store or any other marketplace.
• Remove or obscure the license, or claim the theme’s code as your own original work.

Purchases through the Shopify Theme Store

Mercer is distributed through the Shopify Theme Store once listed. Purchases made there are also subject to Shopify’s Theme Store terms and license, alongside this license. Where Shopify’s terms are more permissive or more restrictive on a given point, the applicable Shopify term controls for that point.

Ownership

ZBANG LTD retains all intellectual-property rights in the Mercer theme, including code, design, and the Mercer name and marks. Any modifications you make for your own store are yours to use under this license, but the underlying theme remains ours.

Our commitment

We stand behind the theme working as documented. If it doesn’t, the refund policy tells you what to do, and support is there for bugs and questions.

Termination

This license lasts as long as you comply with it. If you breach it — for example by redistributing the theme — the license ends, and you must stop using the theme. Ending the license does not entitle you to a refund outside the refund policy.

No warranty beyond the documented behavior

Except for the documented-behavior commitment described in our refund policy, the theme is provided “as is” to the maximum extent permitted by law. See the terms of service for the full disclaimer and liability limits.
